When the Lord your God has brought you into the land that he swore to your ancestors, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you—a land with fine, large cities that you did not build, houses filled with all sorts of goods that you did not fill, hewn cisterns that you did not hew, vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant—and when you have eaten your fill, take care that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. (Deuteronomy 6:10-12)
The buildings and grounds of St. Dunstan’s Church provide a beautiful setting for worship, prayer, fellowship and all sorts of ministries. When we asked our parishioners what they love about St. Dunstan’s Church, the beautiful setting was one of the things that stood out.
Caring for our worship spaces and gardens is our way of thanking God for the gift of this sanctuary of spirituality and peace. Tending to our property and gardens honors those who came before us and built these spaces. Maintaining and improving them is our way of passing these gifts from God on to those who come after us.
Our Junior Warden, Dennis Beals, heads the Buildings and Grounds team. Paul Holt, Chris Johns and Harvey LaZelle ably assist him in special projects. We can all participate either by joining the team or by helping with special projects and events.
