Today I want to thank Jonathan Hanneman and David Lepse for guiding, building, and supporting music at St. Dunstan’s Church this past year. Jonathan offered to lead our choir last year when the need arose, and he has done much more than keep things going. Jonathan has led the choir enthusiastically; he has welcomed new members into the choir; he has arranged music to suit our abilities; and he has even composed anthems for the choir to perform. Jonathan and I set out to create a new choir that would be more welcoming of people at all levels of experience and ability. The work Jonathan has done will serve as a foundation for the future growth of our music programs.
David Lepse has served as accompanist and organist for the interim period. He was also very helpful in the process of advertising the position and finding great candidates. This is the second time David has supported St. Dunstan’s in an interim capacity, and we have become very fond of him.
Both Jonathan and David have offered their gifts to St. Dunstan’s Church in support of our worship and our congregational life. Their offering is a wonderful example of giving thanks to God by using our gifts in service to God. Please be sure to thank Jonathan and David over the next month as they conclude their service as interim Music Director and Organist.
Yours in Christ,
