The vestry of St. Dunstan’s Church is a hard working and fun group of people. Together, they have led this congregation through some significant challenges over the past several years, and they have done so with grace and good humor. On Sunday at our Celebration of Ministry and Annual Meeting we will thank the outgoing class of vestry members, including Dawn Friend, Paul Holt, Liz Hinkofer, and Dennis Beals. Each of them has contributed to the life and vitality of our congregation in countless ways. Even when money has been tight and when we have had to deal with potentially controversial decisions, they have worked well together, and I am grateful for their leadership. Dawn has a deep knowledge of the history of our congregation and the proper order of things. When we want to know what decision was made, we can count on her to find the answer. Her minutes from each meeting are flawlessly accurate. Paul brings his calm wisdom and good cheer to all our work. Dennis has done more in his two years than I can believe as Jr. Warden. (More about that on Sunday!) Liz has done wonderful job, first leading our stewardship campaigns, then helping form our outreach ministries, and finally, in the last year as our Sr. Warden. She has really risen to the leadership challenge, and her creativity and energy have been a true blessing to our congregation. Please be sure to thank each of them for their ministry of leadership.
