Each year we have a work party the Saturday before Palm Sunday to prepare our Church and grounds for the celebration of Easter. It is both fun and deeply satisfying, even gratifying, to work together to make our church beautiful for Holy Week and Easter. We care about St. Dunstan’s Church because this is the place where we know we are loved, included, encouraged, and from which we are sent forth to be God’s blessing.
Everything we have is a gift from God, and this event is a practical, meaningful way to give thanks to God by caring for the church grounds that allow us to fulfill our ministries and our worship. Last year we planted flowers and cleaned up the flowerbeds at the entrance to the church, and the results were stunning.
I hope to see you on Saturday morning. Pray for sun, but bring your raincoat. We’ll have fun whatever the weather. There will be coffee and treats in the morning and a lunch at noon.
Yours in Christ,
