The reception after a funeral is an important part of the mourning process, allowing family and friends to gather, tell stories, visit with people they have not seen in ages, and generally celebrate a loved one’s life. The problem is, most of us are in no shape to plan a reception when someone we love has died. That’s where the St. Agnes Guild Receptions Committee can help. They will host a beautiful reception, taking care of all the details.
The women of the St. Agnes Guild bake cookies and provide food. They pour coffee and tea from a silver tea and coffee service. They decorate the church and set the tables. They take care of all the details so that the family and friends of the deceased can just visit and comfort one another.
The reception ministry of the St. Agnes Guild is another way the people of St. Dunstan’s Church respond to God’s love. God has graced us with many gifts and we are doubly blessed when we use those gifts to bless others. Thank you to all who make the receptions ministry such a beautiful expression of love and generosity.
Yours in Christ,
