Wonderful activities and adventures await our young people at St. Dunstan’s Church. I am referring to Camp Huston and all it has to offer. Camp Huston is located in Gold Bar, WA, on 70 acres in the Cascade foothills, and it is part of the educational and missionary outreach of the Episcopal Church. It is a strong and welcoming community that offers children the opportunity to enjoy such activities as horseback riding, archery, worship, interactive games, arts and crafts, hiking, campfires and more. Children in grades 1-10 can attend their summer programs, and those programs are outstanding.
Many young people from St. Dunstan’s have attended sessions in the past, and I encourage you to enroll your son or daughter. My own children had wonderful times there when they were growing up and have many fond memories. One of our own youth here at St. Dunstan’s, Kristen Pacher, has been counselor at the camp in past years and will be one again this year as well. If you have questions about the camp, please feel free to ask her.
There are brochures about Camp Huston on the large table in the Parish Hall. Please feel free to take one. There are scholarships available through the Diocese. For information on the scholarships, you may contact the Office of the Bishop via Blaire Notrica at email@example.com.
For more information on Camp Huston, they can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 360-793-0441.
Summer will be here before we know it, and this is a wonderful opportunity for your children. I encourage you to look into it.
Mary E. Pacher
