There is a lot of excitement in our Sunday school these days. Easter is just around the corner, and the children are making a special mural for the congregation to enjoy. They are eagerly putting their ideas together with the help of the teachers, and the results will be amazing.
On Sunday, March 20th, the children will help assemble Easter Baskets for New Beginnings. Our Youth Group will also be helping with this outreach project, and we invite all of you to join us. We will gather in the Parish Hall after the 10:00 morning worship service and work together to create lovely baskets. Materials will be provided to make attractive baskets, and it will be great fun. If you would like to contribute something to put into the baskets, there is an announcement from Kathy Newman in this week’s Highlights and bulletin insert that will give you some wonderful suggestions. Things like crayons, books, Easter candy and small toys are most welcome. This is a wonderful opportunity for a multi-generational activity where we can all work together to make a difference in the lives of others. Please join us. You will be glad you did.
On Easter morning the children will enjoy their annual Easter egg hunt. They participate in this each year, and of course the upcoming Easter hunt adds to the excitement that is going on downstairs.
Our teachers are enjoying their wonderful ministry working with our children. If you would like to be a part of our team, please let me know. You are most welcome.
