Spring is in the air, and smiles are on the faces of the children and youth at St. Dunstan’s Church. Everyone is busy with plans for Easter, and our young people are no exception.
Our Sunday school children have helped prepare Easter Baskets for New Beginnings for many years. They take the items that have been donated and create lovely baskets to be given to children and women who have been affected by domestic abuse. This year instead of just the children making these wonderful gifts, you will have the opportunity to help. Please join our children and youth after the service this Sunday in the Parish Hall. We will have great time together as we make the Easter Baskets. It’s a wonderful way for all of us to make a difference in the lives of others.
The Sunday school children also want to invite you to a special occasion. On Easter Sunday, after the worship service, you are invited to our Easter Egg Hunt. The children will hide eggs all around the church (none in the parking lot), and you get to find them. Each egg will have something special in it, so please stay after the service and join our children in this fun activity.
You may have noticed some lovely flowers in the Parish Hall from the gardens around the church. Last Sunday the weather was lovely, and the children went outside and brought some of the beauty they found inside for all of us to enjoy. Yes, spring is definitely in the air.
This Saturday you are invited to join our Youth Group and help make our grounds beautiful by doing some garden work and planting flowers. Bring your gloves, shovels, and rakes and work alongside our young people.
Blessings, and Happy Springtime,
Mary E. Pacher
