The end of the school year is fast approaching, and I want to take this time to thank all of you for your support of our Sunday school children and our youth. We have had a very busy and productive year, and much of the reason for that has been because of the support of our congregation. Whether we were making quilts for Project Linus, creating an Easter mural, preparing Easter baskets for New Beginnings, serving as acolytes, cleaning the grounds, preparing meals for Tent City 3, taking part in the 30 Hour Famine to raise money for hungry children in the world, or taking part in our annual Christmas Pageant, you, the congregation and our friends, have been there for us. A special thanks to St. Agnes Guild for their continuing support of Ryan’s House for Youth and for providing scholarships for our Vacation Bible Camp. Thank you everyone, you are the best!
We may be small in numbers in our Sunday school and Youth Group, but we are large in heart and love of God. This past year has provided many opportunities for the young children to learn about Jesus and for the youth to do God’s work. Our teachers and leaders are grateful to all of you for your love and support of our programs. There are lots of exciting things planned for next fall and the new school year here at St. Dunstan’s. We embrace those opportunities and the challenges that await us.
Thank you again for everything, and be sure and attend our Youth Service this coming Sunday, May 31st. This is always a delightful service and one that everyone enjoys. There is a special surprise awaiting someone, and you won’t want to miss it.
