There is a lovely Christmas tree in the Parish Hall at St. Dunstan’s Church. In addition to giving us enjoyment, the tree is also a Giving Tree for the homeless youth of Ryan’s House on Whidbey Island.
We have supported the young people of Ryan’s House for some time, and they are grateful for our love and support. Christmas is a time of love and giving, and I hope that you will take part in our Giving Tree. It is decorated with paper ornaments which have gift suggestions on them. Please take an ornament, purchase a gift, and then bring the gift and put it under the tree. There is also a green sheet of paper on the table by the bulletin boards which has gift suggestions on it. You are welcome to take one.
Our youth will be traveling up to Whidbey Island on Saturday, December 12th, and attending the annual Ryan’s House Christmas party and luncheon. They will take the gifts that you have so generously donated with them, and those gifts will be given to the many homeless teens. It is a wonderful way of letting all of our young people know that they can make a difference in the lives of others. It is a way for us to share the love and blessings which God has bestowed upon us with those less fortunate.
Thank you for your support of the work our youth at St. Dunstan’s are doing, and thank you for your love and caring of all youth.
