Last week we held our first Sunday school class of the new program year, and this coming Sunday our Youth Group will meet at their new time of 11:30. Our youth will be planning activities for this next year which will include outreach work, confirmation classes, and having fun. They are already off to a great start.
On October 3rd and 4th, our youth will host the leaders and some of the teens from Ryan’s House for Youth, which is located on Whidbey Island. We have shared some wonderful times in the past with our friends from Ryan’s House, and we are looking forward to having them visit us.
Our Ryan’s House friends will arrive at St. Dunstan’s Saturday morning, April 3rd. We will also be joined by our friends from Northern Lights International Ministry Church. The plans are for all the youth to work together on an outreach project in the afternoon, share some games, enjoy dinner together, and have a great time. They will spend the night at St. Dunstan’s and attend our worship service Sunday morning where they will enjoy our yearly “Blessing of the Animals.” We will also provide a lovely coffee hour on Sunday for the congregation to enjoy. Following coffee hour, our friends from Ryan’s House will head back up to Whidbey Island.
We are blessed to have our youth at St. Dunstan’s. They have taken part in some wonderful projects in the past which have benefited many and made a difference in the lives of others. I am proud of every one of our amazing youth and look forward to working with them again this year. Their relationship with Ryan’s House and Northern Lights International Ministry Church has been a blessing to all involved.
We thank all of you for your love and for your support. They are vital to our youth as they continue to perform God’s work in His world.
