It is hard to believe that the school year is almost over. Families are planning summer vacations, and there is a lot going on in everyone’s life. The weatherman has promised us a beautiful summer and we are looking forward to some fun times.
There is a lot going on with our children at St. Dunstan’s, as we prepare to wrap up the school year. Our annual Youth Service will be held on Sunday, June 12th. We have selected a wonderful liturgy and we are working with Susanna, our music director, to bring you some great music. Our Youth Group and Sunday school will both be taking an active part in the service, so be sure and attend. The teachers and children are all very excited about the day.
Another thing that is happening over the summer is our Vacation Bible Camp. We have held this for the past several years and it is always well attended. The theme is “We Sing of Your Glory,” and the week will be filled with music, games, art, Bible stories, and more. Radio station Spirit 105.3 has been invited to join us for the festivities, and we look forward to seeing them. You may download a registration form or pick one up from the church office. Tell your friends and neighbors and invite them to take part in a fabulous week.
Our Sunday school teachers are meeting soon to discuss adopting a new curriculum for next year. We have used Seasons of the Spirit the past few years and want to try something new. Change is good, and there are several wonderful curriculums out there for us to take a look at. We are blessed to have our children in Sunday School, and we want to provide a meaningful experience for them. You will be hearing more about this later, so stay tuned.
Thank you for your continuing support of our youth, children, and their leaders. You all play an important role in our program and we appreciate your love and caring.
