One of our delightful traditions at St. Dunstan’s Church is to end the Sunday School program year with a special service designed and led by our youth and Sunday School students and their teachers. Sometimes the results can be a bit startling (like the version of the Lord’s Prayer they selected from the New Zealand Prayer book), but the service is always full of joy.
This year we will celebrate our Sunday School and Youth programs with a special “Youth Sunday” service on Trinity Sunday, May 31st. Children and youth will be our readers, ushers, and even provide our prayers of the people. We will celebrate our graduating High School senior, Tre Carociello, who has contributed greatly to our youth program over the past several years.
Jonathan Hanneman will offer the sermon for this Trinity Sunday. In addition to being our office administrator and interim Choir Director, Jonathan is also in discernment for holy orders. This will be the first of many opportunities for Jonathan to preach and for all of us to experience his preaching voice.
I look forward to seeing you at this festive service. We will celebrate our youth as we praise our loving God.
Yours in Christ,
