Children & Youth
Nursery care
Care is provided each Sunday for younger children, both during Sunday school classes and for the entire service upstairs. The nursery is a cheerful room. From time to time, more mature children have the option of going into the “big” room to join the older children on major group projects.
Sunday School
Sunday school classes and activities are offered for youngsters from kindergarten through eigth grade. Classes start at 9:15 am with the children going directly downstairs to be with their teachers. Youth group
Young people, 6th to 12th grades, meet the first and third Sundays of the month usually from 11:00am to 1:00 pm.
A Christmas pageant and an end of the year youth mass, using members of both groups, incorporates music, drama and the Bible.
Special Events
- The beginning of our Sunday School year is marked with a Bar-Be -cue the first Sunday after Labor Day and the start of public school.
- A Christmas pageant is held on Christmas Eve at 4:00 pm.
- The Church School plans and presents a youth service in late spring.
Both the Sunday school and the Youth group are run on a cooperative model, with parents taking an active role in planning and teaching.
