Worship

Acolytes

For ages 9 to 18. The acolytes assist during the Holy Eucharist at 10:00 AM service at St. Dunstan’s Church, as well as some other special services. Young Acolytes start as banner carriers. After some experience they are trained to carry the torches and perform  some of the duties of assisting with setting the communion table. Experienced acolytes become crucifers, carrying the processional cross in procession.  Contact Fr. David Marshall with questions or to sign up.

Ushers

Ushers facilitate the movement and flow of the service, provide bulletins, do the collection, facilitate the offertory procession and guide people to communion. This is a vital role that helps set the tone and hospitality of our worship.

Readers

A large number of people serve in this ministry, which involves reading one of the readings at a service. A good reading, with a clear interpretation and delivery is a great gift and contribution to our worship. Contact Mrs. Alice Marshall or the church office, if you are interested.

Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic Ministers serve the Communion at Sunday worship and help with many other aspects of the Eucharist. To become a Eucharistic Minister, you will go through a training that includes both the tasks for the EM in a Eucharist and leading a Morning Prayer service. After the training, you will become licensed to serve Communion to the people of St. Dunstan’s. Talk to Deacon Jerry Garman.

Healing Prayer Ministers

Our healing prayer ministers offer prayers and anointing with holy oil for healing, for yourself or for someone else, during the distribution of communion. We have a healing prayer station set up to the right of the altar in a private alcove. Anyone who feels called to pray for others can join this team. Please speak with Harley Wahl or the Rev. David Marshall.

Sound board team

We are blessed with a quality sound system that allows people with limited hearing to enjoy the service. We also record the service and publish a recording of the sermon both on our web site and as a Podcast available through iTunes. If you enjoy tech, contact Alex Broadhead or Chuck Pacher to join this team.
