Successful Easter Outreach

baskets_5586c1_webThank you to everyone who participated in our annual Easter Outreach Program. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $886 and collected a number of nice items, allowing St. Dunstan’s Parish to provide wonderful Easter gifts for the women and children served by New Beginnings, a local domestic violence shelter. We delivered twelve festive Easter baskets filled with fun toys and tasty treats for the kids, as well as ten colorful re-usable bags for the Moms that each held a cozy blanket, $25 gift card, and assorted sundries like deodorant, tissue, gum, toothbrush, hand sanitizer, and more. We also gave the shelter $375 in grocery gift cards to purchase food for their Easter dinner.

The staff at New Beginnings want you all to know how much our efforts lift the spirits of the ladies and their children.

Special thanks to the members of the St. Agnes Guild for their on-going support of outreach programs at our Church. Thanks also to Joan Mackie, Karen Tynes, Danielle Williams, Dixie Buol, Tom Paulson, and all of the other people who lent a hand getting the baskets assembled on Palm Sunday. Of course, our thanks also to everyone who made a donation or brought an item. Your kindness is much appreciated.
