Changing how we use the Florence Henry Chapel
The Vestry has determined that we need to make better use of the Florence Henry Chapel. In addition to occasional weddings, baptisms and other special events, we will now schedule quarterly Evensong celebrations. Attendance at the Chapel’s every-other-Sunday 8:00 am service has fallen off over the past few years. This may in part be because we few parishioners living in the Highlands community. The Vestry wants to maximize the use of Father David’s time and build up attendance at our 8:00 am Sunday morning service here at St. Dunstan’s. Accordingly, we are launching our new Evensong series with three special services:
- All Saints Evensong, November 4th, 7:00 PM
- Epiphany Evensong, January 6th, 7:00 PM
- Good Friday service, April 14, 7:00 PM
We will no longer schedule an 8:00 am every-other-Sunday Service at the Chapel. Our last regularly scheduled Chapel service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18. All Parishioners are welcome at that Service.
Buildings & Grounds Team
Our wonderful St. Dunstan’s Church buildings and grounds call for a team of talented gardeners, repair techs and maintenance people. As our Junior Warden I am putting together a team of volunteers who would like to help us keep up our campus. If you would like to join us, please send me an e-mail at email@example.com. From time-to-time I can then send out e-mail calls for specific help that you can pick and choose from. Let’s get together over coffee or on line!
